Meet Genet is an exclusively dedicated ode to the memory of the French writer Jean Genet. This celebratory box indicates the 69 years from the completion of “Our Lady Of The Flowers”, his debut novel and honours his contribution to literature. The aim was to establish a tribute festival in the name of the author, where people would get to know and discover more about his life and his overall work including his books, movies and activism. This selection was created to praise containing a poster, seven movies (DVD's), a biographical note and some of his greatest treatises, translated in Greek. This is a way to get as close as possible to Genet with the only precondition be the power of will. The subtitle and name of the book (SIC) derives from the abbreviation 'sic erat scriptum' and refers to the apothegm of his: “This is who I am, this is how I lived, this is what I will recite you” which has been used as was initially written.
